unable to add archive file: /Users/me/Documents/projects/myproject/src/net/.DS_Store (No such file or directory)

Not sure of the cause. If you open up this directory and possibly even the sub directories in Finder or Explorer the .DS_Store should be created and the error goes away. Not sure why or how the DS Store was included in the repository…

I imported a project using AIR 2.0 but Flash Builder does not have AIR 2.0 installed. It is using a newer AIR 2.5. So the namespace mentioned in the Application Descriptor file and what is actually installed are different.

The simplest way to fix is to create a new project of the same type (AIR) and after that select the application descriptor file, usually something like, “MyApp-app.xml” and the new project’s descriptor file and do a compare. In Eclipse that’s select both files, right click on one of them and choose Compare > with each other.

ArgumentError: Error #2180: It is illegal to move AVM1 content (AS1 or AS2) to a different part of the displayList when it has been loaded into AVM2 (AS3) content.

This occurs when you attempt to load a SWF file that was created with AS1 or AS2 into a SWF file that is AS3.

In this specific case, this error was generated when loading an SWF advertisement compiled for a Flash Lite device into a loader in a Flash AS3 project and then moving that content to another location on the display list.

The reference to entity must end with the ';' delimiter.

The reference to entity “xml” must end with the ‘;’ delimiter.

In this case the XML parser sees “&” and then expects whatever is following it to be an encoded character code. When I say encoded I mean that this, ”

So the ampersand in this code is causing the error:

<post id="7" link="http://www.site.com/?p=7&xml=1" />

We need to change it to this:

<post id="7" link="http://www.site.com/?p=7&xml=1" />

TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter antiAliasType must be non-null.

TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter antiAliasType must be non-null.
at flash.text::TextField/set antiAliasType()

The error may be caused by incompatibilities with the Flash Text Engine, Classic TextField, Text Layout Framework, Flash Player version you are targeting and the versions of the SWC’s used in Flex SDK’s.

Upgrading to the latest Flex SDK in your project and all your linked in libraries and SWC’s may resolve the issue.

Was resolved by updating the Flex SDK. Was using Flex 4.5 17077 beta and upgraded to Flex 4.5 Hero and issue was resolved. If that does not fix it make sure linked libraries are also updated.

I’m not really sure what is causing this error. Any suggestions post below.

You have contents in the default property of a container but also defined in the custom component. Remove the contents of the component instance and if need be move it into the component mxml file.
